Fencers will benefit from a greater amount of bouts as well as the higher level of intensity and resistance during the competition.     Fencers will be seeded for the events with the following priority:          League of Champions / League of Musketeers Ranking          FIE Ranking          CFF HPP Ranking          CFF Domestic Ranking          OFA OCC Ranking SYSTEMS OF THE EVENTS The system of the competition is subject to change but will always have the emphasis on the large and equal number of bouts for the participants and is to be announced at least 15 days before the event. RANKING League of Champions and League of Musketeers ranking lists will be created and maintained based on the six best results out of the last eight league events. After each event fencers will be awarded with ranking points. If a tie exists a fencer with the higher placement in the latest league event will be ranked higher.   Ranking Points Schedule Placement Points 1 72 2 64 3 58 4 54 5 52 6 51 7 50 8 49 ... ... 55 2 56 1 57 0   JUDGING, EQUIPMENT AND WEAPON CONTROL The events will follow CFF/FIE rules whenever possible and unless explicitly stated. Fencers must wear appropriate fencing clothing, which includes mandatory pants and an under-plastron. If a fencer has non-working equipment, he/she will be given a red card (penalty hit) and will have two minutes to change the equipment or to fix the problem. After that he/she will loose by default 1-0. A random (computer selected) weapon control before the start of the bout will be enforced. In case of a failed weapon the fencer will loose by default 1-0. To insure a low entry fee all the judging will be done by the participants. A complaint system with negative ranking points might be developed in the future if feasible.   REGISTRATION AND SCHEDULE All the league events are scheduled at the Sword Players Fencing Academy, 5 Kodiak Crescent, Unit# 2, Toronto (Sheppard & Allen Rd/Dufferin) Registration is online only at www.swordplayers.com Entry fee is $20 for the League of Champions and the League of Musketeers events including GST payable at the door in cash or by cheque (NSF cheques will be charged $40). The deadline for applications is by 23:00 two days before the scheduled date of the competition. All accounts are to be paid in full before entering the event. No cancellation fee before the event application dead line; 100% entry fee payment for the event required thereafter.
