Age Groups Cadets - born in 1996 or after Juniors - born in 1993 or after Seniors - open Veterans - born in 1972 or before Dates and Times from 10:00 am to approximately 1:00 pm #1 - Sunday, October 7, 2012 #2 - Sunday, November 25, 2012 #3 - Sunday, January 13, 2013 #4 - Sunday, April 28, 2013 To participate in the event you have to be at the venue at 9:55am sharp. Pre-register online at:  www.fencersnetwork.com/calendar/calendar_public.asp?c=SWP&v=6 Cost If registered online, the tournament entry fee is $20 payable in cash at the door or $40 without online registration; online registration deadline is Saturdays, the day before of the tournaments. You are welcome to join two age groups for the same entry fee. System and Prizes Eight 5-hit bouts in a Swiss System mixed gender pool. For all four age groups (CT, JR, SR, VE) mixed gender direct elimination matches will be to 15 hits (3 periods of 3 minutes) with matches for every place. Ranking and Prizes All four events will count towards the final ranking 1st place - 12 points 2nd place – 8 points 3rd place – 4 points 4th place – 2 points 5th place and below – 1 point After the last event, the top fencer in every age group will be awarded with a Golden Sword. In case of a tie, contestants will fence an additional 15 hits (3 periods of 3 minutes bout. If a person who is tied for the first place is absent and, therefore, is not able to fight for the sword, the Golden Sword is given to the one who is sharing the first place in the ranking and is present.
